GOALS

– Decipher how emotions and stress are managed.
– Master TOPs (Techniques for Optimizing Potential).

Mobilized skills
– Using the breathing process.
– Using the relaxation process.
– Using the mental imagery process.
– Identifying your good stress zone and using it to optimize your performance.

Evaluation methods
– Trainee positioning at the start of the course.
– Trainee assessment using the following pedagogical methods : On-the-spot assessment, quizzes and role-playing exercises.
– Follow-up and support for trainees throughout the course using the following methods: quizzes and MCQs.

Methods employed
– Knowledge transfer: Videos, comprehensive teaching aids
– Co-construction among trainees: collective reflections, case studies, individual quizzes
– Immersion: putting the trainee in situation, observations and debriefings, optimization of actions, corrective action, demonstration

DAY 1 : Physiology

  • Understanding the mechanism of emotions and stress
  • How sensory receptors work
  • nctioning of the autonomic nervous system
  • The role of the neurotransmitters adrenalin and noradrenalin

Practice:

  • ECG and military device visualization of physiological reactions from different stimuli

DAY 2 : Breathing and relaxation

  • Understanding the respiratory mechanism
  • Links between the heart and breathing, understanding an ECG (electrocardiogram)
  • Understand how to influence these 2 parameters

Practice :

  • Stimulation exercises with monitoring.
  • Regulation strategies to automate the processes
  • Seeking participant’s reflex autonomy

DAY 3 : Interactive version of simulations

  • Faced with an anxiety-provoking situation generated by several individuals, implement the right strategy to maintain stress at the level required to optimize performance.
  • Once this level has been reached, develop strategies and methods for regulating and maintaining stress.

Practice:

  • Reproduction of situations involving handguns / white weapons.
  • Reproduction of situations involving psychiatric disorders.
  • Conduct led by a military officer and assisted by medical monitoring.

DAY 4 : Situational simulations

  • Faced with an anxiogenic situation generated by a situation involving objects, vehicles or organization, implement the right strategy to maintain stress at the performance optimization level.
  • Once this level has been reached, develop strategies and methods for regulating and maintaining stress.

Practice :

  • Reproduction of situations involving vehicles, traffic conditions.
  • Reproduction of situations involving organization and decisions to be made.
  • Pilot-driven behavior assisted by medical monitoring.
